About Cariads

Cariads was established in 1996, I took over in 2008, as a family friend, the previous owner Maggie, continued on for another 8 years, passing on her wealth of knowledge, gained from 35yrs in the Fashion Industry. This was invaluable to me and taught me so much, enabling me to pull beautiful collections together and to source clothes of good quality, cut and style from across Europe and further afield.

Cariads is based in the heart of Devon in the beautiful historic town of Totnes. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and high quality garments at affordable prices. Over the years Cariads has had to adapt to the changing times and has gone through various phases from stocking designer labels with forward buying to our present time during Covid-19, where comfort, quality and price are our main concern. Clothes need to be both practical, comfortable and still look and feel great at affordable prices, that we can buy as and when we need. This gives us greater flexibility to meet your needs.

Our styles are based on the latest fashion trends, where our suppliers have their collections created by their design teams in the fashion capitals of Paris and Italy, with their extensive product range including women’s dresses, tops, tunics, trousers, skirts and knitwear, made from premium materials such as linen and silk. We also stock accessories, scarves, hats, gloves, jewellery, bags and gift cards.

Our clothes are all easy to wear and can be dressed up or down with the addition of accessories. They are mostly one sizes with a few exceptions, although I do buy different styles to cover all sizes so please enquire. We go up to a size 20 in some garments.
